With the completion of the multi-year CRLS renovation project comes many technological enhancements throughout the building.
All
infrastructure has been rebuilt from the ground up including a new
Network Operations Center (NOC) that serves all schools in the district.
All internal wiring and data closet are also new. A state of the art,
managed and secure, wireless network has been installed and is currently
being expanded to other schools throughout the city. Eventually this
wireless network will be available in most public locations such as
libraries and youth centers to facilitate continued collaboration and
communication beyond the school walls.
Every classroom is
outfitted with three student desktop machines, one teacher desktop, a
document camera, LCD projector, integrated sound, and an interactive
whiteboard. All classrooms now have the same standard setup designed for
maximum flexibility to meet the needs of all staff and students.
Combined with rich online resources and tools this new technology has
created a state of the art learning environment at CRLS.
