Library Class Visits
JK - Grade 3:
Students in these grades visit the library on a weekly basis. Library
lessons and skills are integrated with the units of study they are
learning in their classroom. Children have approximately 5 - 10 minutes
at the end of each library class to browse, borrow, and read/look at
books. Students in grades JK – 1 check-out one book to share with their
classmates in their class. Students in grades 2 – 3 check out one or two
books to read at home.
If you are a parent of a JK - K student, you are more than welcome to
stop by the library from 2:55PM – 3:15 M to check-out a maximum of two
books to read at home.
Grade 4 - 8: Students in these grades come either
weekly or bi-weekly for reader's advisory, book talks, and check-out
books to read at home. Through teacher and school library media
specialist collaboration and co-teaching, students will develop 21st
century skills they need to become effective and efficient researchers.
