I am very excited to be working with the Amigos School Upper School team as a Guidance Counselor for grades 6-8! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience in urban and suburban schools as well as working with youths and families in their homes and in the community. I practice yoga regularly, and I am a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher for adults and children. I love being in the outdoors whether hiking, biking, or at the beach.
The word that comes to mind when I think of middle-schoolers...Curiosity! Middle-schoolers always keep me on my toes and challenge me with their thinking and questions.
I look forward to meeting and connecting with the Upper School students and their families. My goal is to be a support person for students in their overall well-being, and also empower them to make smart decisions, and feel good about themselves and their academics. I'm looking forward to a fabulous school year!
